The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause

Posted in Movies at 11:04 am by earl

(Grade: A) I really liked this movie, a lot more than I thought I would. The movie takes place 12 years after the events of the original Santa Clause movie, and Mrs. Clause is teaching a class. She flashes back to a couple of months ago, where she was still wating for the baby. Santa, Tim Allen, goes through all of this trouble to make it perfect for her, and it blows up in his face, partially thanks to Jack Frost, played very well by Martin Short. He is on a mission to become Santa. The movie is really funny, and is just plain fun to watch. Tim Allen is a great Santa, and the whole movie just makes you have a warm feeling inside. I really liked this movie and I recommend it to anyone wanting to see a good Christmas movie……in January.

Shrek the Third

(Grade: B+) After watching Shrek 3, I had a feeling of contentment, but I kinda felt it was too short. The movie follows Shrek, Donkey, and the rest of the gang as they travel to a far off land to find Arthur, who Shrek hopes will take his place of being King after Fiona’s dad died in a rather comedic way. While on that mission, Prince Charming is trying to reverse the roles and rule the kingdom. The movie is pretty funny, and the standout performance by Eric Idle as Merlin was one of my favorite parts of the movie. However, as I said earlier, it just kinda felt too short. Overall, kids will love this movie, and beside it being a little short, it was a good animated movie.

Link’s Crossbow Training

(7.75/10.00) This game came with the Wii Zapper peripheral, and it is well worth the price of the Wii Zapper alone. After popping in your Wii Remote and Nunchuk into the peripheral, you get started into Link’s Crossbow Training. It works pretty well, with the look of the Zapper basically going for a gun shape. There are 10 levels in the game, the first 3 already unlocked. You have to meet a certain point level to be able to go on to the next level. I got stuck on Level 5, but soon I’ll move on. There are 3 game types, one where you just point, shoot, and rack up points, another where you have to defend yourself from live targets, and another where you have full control of Link. The game looks just like Twilight Princess, and is quite reminiscent. Although it takes some getting used to, Link’s Crossbow Training packed in with the WiiZapper is a bargain at $25.
