This week had several great releases. Including the newest addition to the PGR series. We got several basketball games. We even got our hands on the newest Crash Bandicoot game. But two games stood above the rest. They are The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess and Spiderman:Friend of Foe. And although most would say Zelda widely defeats this newest Spiderman entry, I would like to include it because of it’s unique charm. Congratulations.
Really, do we have to think about this that hard? Halo 3.

They just announced on the Super Smash Bros. Brawl website that there will be 2 player co-op for the adventure mode, The Subspace Emissary. Basically, one player will be the protagonist, while the other follows him and helps him fight. If you get knocked off the screen, you lose a life. If the protagonist dies, game over. The second player is kind of like a sidekick. The protagonist will have a team consisting of himself and another character, based on the development in the game. You basically choose one of however many teams. On Single player, when you lose a life, you switch to that other character, and when that character runs out of “stock lives”, game over. In co-op, whenever one dies, they get revived as another character and whenever they run out of stock lives, game over. But if Player 1 dies, total game over. Player 2 is just an option. You can also set your difficulty. They say if you choose a harder difficulty, you’ll have greater rewards. They even briefly mention a way to power-up to defeat the army!!! I am so psyched!
According to IGN, a very trustworthy video game site, this is the box art for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, a soon-to-be-classic game for the Wii. I personally like it. Let me know what you think.

This is a more in-depth look at certain video games that don’t really get their shine during my old Game Previews. Enjoy.

It seems as if Naughty Dog have left behind Jak and Daxter, that is, for a little while, and moved on to a new franchise, Uncharted:Drake’s Fortune. It follow’s a young man on his journey to claim his Uncle Drake’s buried treasure. Think of it as a masculant Tomb Raider. There will be tons of platforming action, trying to navigate through hazardous jungles, and eventually having to square off with non-Geoffrey Rush pirates. And there’s no Davy Jones to be found. There will be weapon combat which will provide you with the pretty standard weapons. The graphics could be described as…..amazing, and the voice acting seems to be pretty cool. This looks to be one of the PS3’s heaviest hitters, however few there may be, when this game arrives on our shores on Novemeber 20, 2007.

This is a new post series I’ll be doing covering the great DVDs of great shows or great movies. I hope you enjoy.
One of my favorite TV Shows is Heroes, a show where ordinary people get extrardinary abilities, and I personally cannot wait to get my hands on the Heroes Season 1 DVD. This bargain of a DVD set sells for as cheap as $40. The set will come wtih an extended pilot with a brand new hero, the engineer, who was later revised into Ted. Who was killed by Sylar. Go figure. It will also come with commentaries, behind the scenes, and much, much more. If your a Heroes fan, and you have $40 to spend, spend it on this bad boy.

Heroes follows up last week’s great premiere with another great episode this week. Claire begins to wonder how far her powers will go when in biology class the teacher mentions that lizards can regrow their body parts. She persistantly asks him and begs him to let her be who she is, but he once again mentions and threatens her with the company. She then experiments by cutting off one of her toes. Her stalker sees her, but before she can catch him, he has “dissapeared’ and left a book behind. Hiro decides in the past that if Kensei won’t save the village and fulfill the stories that he had read so many times. So he messes with some warriors and saves the princess. We then realize that Hiro was always reading about himself, and that he will have to pose as Kensei for a while. He then returns to Kensei, who is killed by several warriors, but then Kensei magically heals. New Hero!!!! Peter is busy in Ireland, where the theifs that found him are trying to get him to remember anything. Peter starts to escape, but then goes back to save his sister. The thiefs promise to give the amnesiatic Peter a box containing all of his information, that is, if he helps them on a heist. Peter agrees. Matt investigates on Kaito Nakamura’s death, and eventually gets to interrogate Angela Petrelli, who is almost killed. Mohinder is sent to HAiti to save a dying Hero. It turns out to be the Hatian. Mohinder saves him, but then he gets his memory erased. Maya and Alejandro come closer and closer to the border, and they enlist the help from a close relative. Maya ends up getting separated from Alejandro, and she kills the helper, whom Alejandro revives. She runs away screaming. The Haitian and Mr. Bennet finally reunite. Where is Sylar??????!?!?!?!?

This little guy comes from the just released in Japan Mother 3, which has something to do with Earthbound, which has something to do with Ness, a pretty unsung character from Melee. I didn’t really fight as him that often. However, I might play as this little guy every now and then. But I’ll probably play as Snake more often.
