God of War:Chains Of Olympus-The highly successful God of War series will be receiving a new installment next March with Chains of Olympus, a new storyline following Kratos on the PSP. Some might wonder if Kratos can transfer well to the PSP handheld, but with successes with Ratchet and Clank and Daxter, I think he’ll be just fine. And with plot twists, traps, stunts, puzzles, amultiple endings. Kratos will be kicking more butt when he tears into stores March 4, 2008.Â

Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare-Probably the best game at E3 this past year was Call of Duty 4, andthat was mainly because they gave us some game footage that was amazing! It basically showed your player following a Scottish guy trogh the grass and through some buildings where they eventually came upon some other soldiers. The 360 demo was just recently given out, and the game is looking great for its November 5th Release. Basically, this game looks great and will probably blow a lot of people away when it lands in stores this November.Â

Ninja Gaiden 2-After waiting for a good while and getting two, count ‘em two, remakes, we are finally getting a sequel to one of the hardest and coolest games ever. It’s so hard, the reason they waited so long was so people could beat it. Anyway, it seems that Ryu is back, and better than ever. We don’t really know much about the plot, except that Ryu is killing…..alot. There are several screens that just show him decapitating several people. It’s really sick. I guess well just have to get our barf bags ready for when this one releases possibly in 2008.

Yes, it is true, the fourth installment in the Indiana Jones series which is set to release next year now has a title, and it is………Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Yes, in the newest installment ol’ Indy will be visiting a place called the Crystal Skull. Can’t wait.

As you may know, Nintendo is sending out a new accessory , called the WiiZapper, it will hold both the Wiimote and the nunchuk in a gun like holster, which will be used mainly with shooting games. However, new…..news has been released that it will come with a new Zelda game! Sort of. It will be bundled with Link’s Crossbow Training, which should help you get the general gist of the use of it. The hardware and game will come packaged together for the low low price of $19.99 when it releases this November.

September 11th was a day that shall forever be remembered by millions. It was a day that 2974 innocent people and another 24 went missing due to the cold-blooded acts of 5 hijackers. IÂ wish any and every family affected by this tragedy strength in their time of need and rememberance of 9/11.
Another thing that makes me mad are Game Delays. Too many times have I gotten my hopes up for a game coming out on a certain date and then they get pushed back. Back in June of this year, I had gotten my hopes up for Super Smash Bros. Brawl coming out on June 16. Oh no, it didn’t, and now I’m waiting until December 3rd for my Brawliness. Give me my Brawliness Nintendo! I understand that it takes a while to make a game (despite the Megaman games), but don’t get my hopes up for a soon release and then shatter my hopes! Don’t do it! And on December 3rd I want Brawl!

I know, it has to do with video games, but at least it’s all coming from my head. It’s all original baby!!!!

I would just like to apologize to my loyal fans (all 3 of you) for really just putting stuff about video games for the past few (thousand) posts. And just to show how much I want to make it up, the next 5 posts will be entirely my original ideas and my comedic genius. And I’ve also created a new series, Earl’s Tantrums, which will reveal the things that make me mad. Enjoy.
OK, I know nearly all of my non-Amish readers have went to watch a movie in the theaters. And, every now and then, there will be that mind-numbingly annoying person in the theater. My most recent experience was in Transformers, so far my favorite movie of this year, although I’m sure I could have enjoyed the movie more without this particular person. Yes, anonymous person, this post is somewhat devoted to you. I honestly can’t wait to see the movie on DVD because I probably didn’t hear half of the movie because of this person. OK, the person sat two seats down from me ( I’m sure of it Silverwing), although it felt like she was directly in my ear. Anyway, it’s time I get on my soapbox. Honestly, I can understand if the movie is funny, if you’re enjoying it, but when you’re laughing and it sounds like your abdomen is exploding, and your shouting out profanities like it is, than you should seriously consider either waiting until the last day in theaters (It was opening night when this happened), or when it comes out on DVD. Because I was seriously considering going over there and “escorting” them out myself. This might involve plasma swords.

This is a really cool game I found on corporatedump.com. You basically control a wire skeleton, and you move him around. Something tells me this like what they do for animation movies. Click here to play this awesome game.

This week we had two big releases, Medal of Honor:Airbourne and Stranglehold, and we had some mediocre releases. But I must choose one and only one. Airbourne had a unique gameplay spin, and Stranglehold had just mindlessly fun shooting. Which one to choose? Well, since 90% of all war game in the past 20 years have been about WW2, MOH shouldn’thave just spun around this old war, but should have done something new like Call of Duty. Therefore, Stranglehold is Game of the Week.
The Simpsons Game- One of the games I am looing forward to this year is The Simpsons Game. The game basically follows The Simpsons characters zapped into a video game, and of course, there is a satirical spin on things. Whenever jumping into a moment of cliches, Comic Book Guy will pop up and explain it, which is one of the high points of this game. You will play as almost each of the Simpsons member in about 16 “epsiodes”, or levels. There will be boss fights, there will be variety, and hopefully it can save this license and bring it back to the days of Hit and Run. The game will probably release late this year. And the multiple box art idea was genius.

Burnout Paradise- Another one of my favorite game series is the Burnout Series, which has me constantly wrecking other people and wrecking myself…..for fun. The new installment will send players into a free-roam environment where they can do as they wish for as long as they want. The city will be huge, taking about 15 minutes to drive from end to end, which is huge compared to 15 seconds in some games. There will even be a new feature including webcams where you can see the picture of the person you just pwned and the look on his frightened face. The car models look great, the crash mechanics will probably be as awesome as always, and I look forward to playing this when it comes out…..next year.

Skate-It looks like EA is going to try to take down the skating master himself, Tony Hawk, later this year. The new game will go back to the basics of skating, far from the never-ending jokes of the Tony Hawk games. What if this game does dethrone Mr. Hawk? Well, I say more power to them. The game iwll feature prominent skaters like Danny Way, PJ Lad, and Rob and Big. This game looks to create a bitter rivalry September 11, 2007.

They just divulged a semi-new stage on the Dojo. The Stadium was one of my favorite stages back in Melee, and now they are redoing it for Brawl. There will be a electric, flying, ground and an Ice stage. I am really looking forward to playing on this classic stage redone.
Also they revealed Mario’s down special move, the F.L.U.D.D. device from Super Mario Sunshine, one of my favorite games. You’ll hold down B and tilt down on the control stick and then the water will blow you enemies away. By the way, there was a new video added of Pit’s Decent, here’s the link. Just scroll down or go to Game Modes to find it.

One of the most widely known War Series is the Medal of Honor Series, and with its newest release just yesterday from when I’m writing this post, I thought I’d take a closer look. The series started back in November of 1999 with Medal of Honor for the Playstation 1, and then went on and spawned the following sequels-Medal of Honor Underground, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Medal of Honor Frontline, Medal of Honor Rising Sun, Medal of Honor Infiltrator, Medal of Honor Pacific and European Assault, Medal of Honor Heroes, Medal of Honor Vanguard, the newly released Medal of Honor Airbourne, and the upcoming Medal of Honor Heroes 2. The series is made by EA, andhas had plenty of installments as you can see. However, each time they may add in something new since they’ve been in the same war for 8 years. Anyway, the Medal of Hono series is and probably will remain a contender in the War Game market for quite some time, although it will probably be outshined by the variative Call of Duty Series later this year.

Well, despite several of my theories, they will have Metaknight in the new Super Smash Bros. Game. With his awesome sword that can chop up an opponent very quickly and an awesome cape, it looks to be the best new character.

(Grade:B) This was a total chick flick. But not a bad one. It tells the story of two women that, sick with their current love situations, that switch houses for Christmas and end up falling in love with the other woman’s close friend or brother. It has Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, and the best one of the bunch Jack Black. This is pretty straightforward romance with some occasional funny moments. As I said earlier, Jack Black is the best in his funny moments in the movie, and overall, despite some bad lanquage, it’s pretty good. A pretty good renter.
