They just showed a new stage from Brawl, the Warioware Stage. This will start out on a regular platform, and then, just like Warioware, switch to a certain minigame where the characters will have to interact and do like the minigame tells them. It looks to be really really awesome.

Well, this is a pretty tough call. In one corner we have BiShock, a really good game with an epic story, in the other we have Metroid Prime 3 with fantastic controls, in another corner, we have Madden NFL 08, with a near-perfect system working for it, in the last corner, Boogie……Wait, strike that last one. Well, which one will be Game of the Month? I have made my decision……… The Winner…….. Of Game of the Month August 2007 is……….
Metroid Prime 3:Corruption. I know, there will be a lot of mad people out there, saying “Hey, Bioshock’s better, he’s just a Nintendo fanboy.”. And you’re right. That and, my site, my choice. I run this three ring circus. Back me up here James! Anyway, Metroid Prime 3:Corruption is Game of the Month and will definitely come into consideration (along with Bioshock) for Game of the Year, and don’t worry, Bioshock will definitely come in the Top Ten Games of 2007 when I announce the Best of 2007. Â

Okay, I’ll admit I was a little lazy on last week’s Game of the Week post, but that was just because Bioshock is awesome, and any game that is as awesome as Bioshock doesn’t need an explanation. So just expect to see the words “Halo 3″ under Game of the Week:September 23-29. Okay!
Anyway, we did get some awesome releases this week, including Tiger Woods 08 ( I know it’s not the full name), Stuntman Ignition, and Warhawk, and since I can only pick one game, they will all have their pictures shown on this post due to their awesomeness in honorable mention form. But of course, I can only pick one game, and since I am a Nintendo Fanboy, and not biased, it is Metroid Prime 3:Corruption. This game has near-perfect controls, beatiful graphics, and a great storyline, so it is Game of the Week. There, happy James and Silverwing?

Afrika-Well, one of the upcoming PS3 titles is Afrika, an African Safari game. There isn’t really that much we know about it, except that it has really pretty graphics. We don’t even really know a devloper or a publisher, or even a release date, possibly because the release dates on the PS3 are like the points on Whose Line is it Anyway, they don’t mean anything. Anyway, this game could be pretty good if they decide to extend it somewhere beyond just a safari game. Looking at Giraffes eat leaves isn’t really a game. If that’s all, just put it on DVD. Â

Rayman Raving Rabbids 2-One of the games I’m anticipating most is Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, scheduled to hit our shores in November, but recentlyat Leipzig, a German game convention, they showed off some more stuff. They unveiled a couple of new minigames, including Burp, a chugging competition, an Indiana Jones-style game, and even a bike race where you throw water bottles, they all equal out to 50 minigames, instead of 60. They also have new costumes, including an Assassin’s Creed style-costume. Overall, this game looks to be a great one that I’ll be sure not to miss.

Halo Wars-No, this isn’t what I’m going to call my Halo 3 matches with Colt, but a new RTS from the makers of Empire Earth. However, instead of cotrolling little settlers and soldiers, you control Spartan warriors, hopefully with Plasma swords. Basically, this will be a great game for any Halo fan who just wants something more than mindless plasma sword pwnage. And for that few people with something wrong with them, this game will come out sometime in 2008. In fact, those few people should just be checked into the nearest mental clinic.

I am a pretty big fan of the Batman movies, and I am especially looking forward to the newest installment, the sequel to Batman Begins, The Dark Knight. The movie will Bruce Wayne and his struggle to keep Gotham safe from The Joker and Two-Face. I am really psyched for this 2008 Movie, and to pass the time, here are some photos.

Well, the way I see it, no. I know that I am a Wii Fanboy, and I am proud of it, but that shouldn’t effect my opinion on this matter. Many people today are asking the question, Is the Wii only for kids? Well, the question was started bck at E3 07 when many gamers were raging against Nintendo due to the lack of hard-core games. Well, yes, I can agree with that. I look forward to playing Metroid, Mario, Rayman, Zelda, and more on my Wii as much as the next hard-core gamer. But we have to acknowledge something. We have to share. They did name it Wii, not Mii. Let me explain. With the Wii’s motion sensing capabilities, there will be kid-friendly/gimmicky games until the end of its lifespan, because that’s why some people bought it. Other people like myself bought it because of the fact that it has some great games that aren’t so gimmicky about it. Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy, Destroy All Humans 3, Brawl, and more are coming out soon that will keep me satisfied with my Wii. Overall, we just have to remeber what the Wii started off as and will always be-A User-Friendly Console.

Another famous Nintendo series aside from Zelda (See that Game Closeup) is the Metroid series. It all started way back when in 1987 with Metroid, an NES sci-fi shooter that had you, Samus Aran, saving the galaxy against evil, and ultimately, the Mother Brain. The game was a huge success, and provided a unique experience for gamers in a world of Zelda in Mario. You can say it was the Halo of its time, without Plasma Swords, unfortunately. The game used a unique password system that you used to save your game, although it could sometimes be annoying. And ultimately at the end of the game we threw down our controls in suprise finding out the main character Samus was a girl. They then went on in 1991 onto the Gameboy with Metorid 2:Return of Samus where the bounty hunter Samus goes up against Queen Metroid. Afterwards they created Super Metroid in 1994 for the SNES, Metroid Fusion for the GBA in 2002, and then they started the Metroid Prime Trilogy in 2002 for the Gamecube. They started off with Metroid Prime, MEtroid Prime 2:Echoes, and most recently Metroid Prime 3:Corruption. It is definitely true that the Metroid series is on of the strongest Ninetedo will ever have, and with great controls, its uniqueness, and more, it looks to remain that way.

The Dojo has popped out some brand new info, including a new item, the classic Starfox villain, Andross. When this fiend is activated, he will escape to th back of the screen and then shoot panels at you, which can be devastating. It looks to be a pretty interesting item.
Another new item will be the Super Spicy Curry, which will be like the Fire Flower, but without control. When this plate is eaten (picked up), it will cause the user to have flames shoot out of his mouth, which allows for some pretty cool combos.

BioShock. Don’t question it. Just plain Bioshock. It’s awesome. Forget Brain Age 2 and any other remotely good game, just Bioshock.

I recently got to run by Gamespot and play the demo for Brain Age 2:More Brain Training in Minutes A Day, and here’s what I thought. The demo basically just allowed you to play though a “Brain Age” calculating game, in which you had to subtract 8 from a number over and over and over, until you reached zero. I started off prety well, but when I got to trickier numbers, things got a little messy. I found when I tryed to type certain numbers that it wouldn’t recognize right and it caused me to score my brain in the age of its 80s. Overall, despite some recognition errors, it seemed pretty solid.

Reading a new article on the Smash Bros. Site, I found out that there will be boss battles!
Boss Battles! I am so excited to be fighting my favorite Nintendo villains throughout an awesome storyline! The first boss battle as seen in that newest vide will probably be Petey Piranha, who will use two cages with both Zelda and Peach in both. You will have to choose which one to save and thus beat the cage until it breaks, saving that hero.

Rock Band-The highly anticipated (yet highly ripoffish of Guitar Hero) game Rock Band will be hitting stores this November, and they just released some new…….news. First off, the game will be hitting the PS2 along with the 360 and PS3 (just like Guitar Hero except Guitar is going to the Wii). It is also going to have have a few new songs like Paint it Black (Which was on Guitar Hero 3 from the get-go) . Overall this game looks pretty sweet although not as sweet as Guitar Hero when it comes out November 20 (After Guitar Hero 3).
Super Mario Galaxy-One of the biggest Nintendo games is set for release this November, and they have just released a new level available for play at a recent convention. The game showed you around a level where you had to shoot Mario…………from planet to planet. The controls have shown to be precise and fun, and traveling upside down on planets never comes across confusing. The game looks to be a stronger and stronger game for when it releases November 12th, 2007.

Resident Evil:Umbrella Chronicles-Resident Evil is making it’s first original adventure on the Wii, this time entitled Umbrella Chronicles. The game will follow the activities and eventfull downfall of the Umbrella Coorporation. You will use the Wii Zapper to shoot the zombies, and you can switch weapons with the D-Pad. The graphics may not look the best, but it looks to be a pretty good Wii game when it releases hopefully sometime this November.

Trust me people, there will be tons and tons of stuff about Super Smash Bros. Brawl in the next………say 6 months. I know it comes in 4. Think about it. Anyway, the developers have finally given Yoshi his final smash, and since he is one of my favorite characters, I was hoping it was going to be good. It is. When Yoshi grabs the Smash Ball he will mutate and suddenly grow wings and breathe fire. He will also be able to spit out fire balls when you push a certain button. And, as the character Yoshi is, he will still be pretty clumsy.
