Movie Previews-Hairspray, Sunshine, All the Boys Love Mandy Lane

Posted in Movies at 4:11 pm by earl

Hairspray-Okay, I know it’s no Transformers, but this movie which started as a play which I saw performed by a school group at a convention looks to be a rare gem. It tells the story of a girl in the 1950s whose dream it is to be on a popular TV show. It has a long list of very funny people including John Travolta, Christopher Walken, and Queen Latifa. I wanna be called King…..or maybe Jester…..on second thought-

Sunshine-This cool little sci-fi thriller is set in the future when the sun basically runs outta fuel and a couple of brave souls are going a mission to reignite the sun. It looks to have some pretty cool special effects, and a unique storyline. That’s a good combination. Yep. I just used the word “yep” so I could go onto the next line. I’m so clever. Just like this movie! Ha ha ha. Oh…..

All The Boys Love Mandy Lane-This movie tells the story that most of us are too familiar with. Mandy Lane, the prettiest, coolest, most popular girl in school has all the boys affection, but there’s one boy that’s doing all he can get to her. Including eliminating his competition. I take back that familiarity part. It’s like High School Musical gone horribly wrong! (I’m sorry, I had to tell that one!) I’m so clever…LIKE SUNSHINE!

How to…With the Wiimote

Posted in Video Games at 2:58 pm by earl

To anyone who is out there who knows how to put a new Wiimote in the first controller slot (#1), please leave me a detailed comment on how to do so. Also, to anyone with more than one Wiimote, please do the same except telling how that works in turning-on wise when you turn the console on. What I mean is, do you turn the additional Wiimotes on in a specific order, or do they automatically switch on? The first question is the most important.

Earl Awards Categories Redone

Posted in Video Games at 12:52 pm by earl

Okay, these are the new categories for the Of the Year… awards later this year. I’ll either wait until later this month or late this year to give out the nominees/ first two nominees. I decided to take out the various Movies and TV, and I’ll just stick to Games with the exception of Best Movie. Once again, I could add more categories at any time, and I could possibly do the two nominees from both parts of the year. I’ll post all 4 nominees for each category December 26 and then the winners December 27. Once again, I could add any category whenever I want, the same with anything on my site.

Mr. Monk and His Biggest Fan

Posted in The Tube at 9:48 am by earl

Monk-Mr. Monk is on the case when Marci Maven, his obsessed fan, has a dog that is suspected of killing her neighbor, nly one problem, the dog’s dead. She shows up at Monk’s door, scared, although still obsessed with him, he refuses to answer and sends Natalie instead. Later at a bachelor auction, however, Marci get her wish as she buys Monk for 6 hours for a mere $800. At Marci’s house, Monk finds several creepy dioramas and pictures of himself, even a corner in her kitchen dedicated to him. Monk then decides to take her case. They go outside too the shed where they found the body, but Monk notices that all of the tools were in place, something that wouldn’t be true if she was being attacked. Monk also found the hole that the dog supposedly crawled through, but the dirt was on the wrong side of the fence, and a dead tulip matched the one on the shovel in the shed. Marcithen talks about the last time she had seen the dog, and how he showed up at her house after dissapearing for several hours covered in wood shavings like mahogany. They then visit five wood factories, eventually discovering the victim’s husband works at one. And after Monk finds some molding material, he solves the case, but not before the husband can attempt to kill them, and shoot Marci. The captain and lieutenant came in and took the killer away.

Here’s what happened:A couple of weeks ago, the victims husband found out the perfect alibi to kill his wife. Marci’s dog had attacked before, so evryone would think that if she was killed, it would be the dog. So he kidnapped the dog, drugged him, and then made a mold of his teeth, and then a edge-clippers like design with his teeth mold on the end. The dog accidentally ingested part of the mold when it was being made, and that’s what caused him to die. He then killed his wife, and made it look like the dog bit her a couple of times. Only one problem:He was framing a dead dog!
