Edge, a critical game magazine, has recently posted it’s Top 100 Video Games Ever in their magazine. Unfortunately, I was not able to get the full list, but I was able to get the Top Ten. I personally don’t agree with them-See “My Top Ten Video Games of All Time”. Â
1. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
2. Resident Evil 4
3. Super Mario 64
4. Half Life 2
5. Super Mario World
6. Zelda: A Link to the Past
7. Halo: Combat Evolved
8. Final Fantasy XII
9. Tetris
10. Super Metroid

(8.00/10.00) More than meets the eye! I picked up the Transformers movie game for the Wii and as a movie game, it is giving Spiderman a run for his money! You play through the movie’s storyline with extra, more in-depth, explaining missions. There are different “levels” with 4-5 “chapters” in each. The first level you play as Bumblebee, then in Level 2 Jazz, Ironhide, and Optimus, in Level 3 Bumblebee, and then mixed up in Level 4, Level 5 being a boss battle only. With guess who?…..Bobby Bolivia from the car dealership! Not really. There’s also a Decepticon storyline which is also pretty neat. One thing I loved about this game were the graphics. The Transformers look spot-on, and the ability to transform when you please was very cool, and it also gave you two different ways to complete some missions. The combat is pretty fun, shaking the Wiimote for melee attacks (punching, kicking, etc.) and moving the Nunchuk vertically to pick up any object aroung you. Overall, this is a great movie game that anyone with a thirst for more after the movie will love.

Overall, this week has been pretty good in the Video Game World. We got our hands on two or three good games, but we did have to throw some games down. Like the non-surprisingly bad Chicken Shoot for the Wii. But there was one game that also did dissapoint us but it wasn’t about shooting poultry. Vampire Rain. This game looked somewhat promising at E3 06, but sadly, this stelth shooter joins Hour of Victory in their graveyard of possibly good games that fell short. But, through the rubble, one game did come out on top. It’s name is Ninja Gaiden Sigma. With truly Ninja Gameplay and cool combat, this is the Game of the Week.
