TV Guide Magazine did an interview with Masi Oka/Hiro Nakamura about the new season of Heroes, and, for you the reader, read the entire thing while in the checkout line n Walmart. We were buying wall stuff. Just kidding. Hiro said that in the new season, his character would be in the past, and that he would fall in love with the woman whoo has been chosen to marry Kensei (his childhood hero), this possibly falling in the same pattern as it did with Charlie, who was killed by Sylar, which he made no comment on his re-appearence. They also did an interview with the BRAND NEW HERO WHOSE NAME I CAN’T REMEMBER! Hey, they had altoids, I have a short attention span. Although they did not reveal her power, they might had, they did have Juicy Fruit, they did tell her back story. She is an illegal immigrant with her family, I think, there might have been Reeses involved, if so, it’s a blur. Were you upset when they had 1 month breaks between the episodes! I sure was! Well now Heroes will only have two short breaks in December and April, with Heroes Origins coming in some time next year.  Just to add, in a Comic Con interview, when asked about Nathan, Tim Kring said quote-
“He’s kinda up in the air right now.”
Tim made a funny! I told you he was dead Black Knight!

As you probably know, I love the Ratchet and Clank series, and I think it’s only fair I
devote a post to it. This series has been known for years with fun and unique weapons, impeccable level design, and tons of extras to keep oldvts like myself coming back for more. The series started all the way back in 2002 with their first adventure where they were destined to stop the evil Chairman Drek from destroying the universe in his real estate project. In the second installment, Going Commando, Ratchet and Clank were hired
to retrieve a dangerous science project before it fell in the wrong hands. My favorite, Up Your Arsenal, had the heroes once gain saving the universe from the nefarious……Dr. Nefarious in his plan to rid the world of all organic lifeforms. They then returned in Ratchet’s solo adventure, Deadlocked, in which he was forced to take part in an illegal gladiator tournament and take it down. They went on to the PSP in 2007 with Size Matters, where they had to stop an evil mastermind leader of a long-used robot society trying to turn the
tables. This fall they are heading back to the consoles in Ratchet and Clank Future:Tools of Destruction, where Ratchet’s species is being threatened by a man who wants them dead. The series has always been a Sony exclusive, each game appearing on the PS2/Future:PS3, leading myself to force B.K. to buy the game and allow me and him to beat it in one day. The game is also known for its hillarious humor, with such great lines from the Galactic rangers, Al, and even Captain Quark-”Hope you like Custard!”. Overall, if you have never checked out this series, I strongly recommend that you do.

Overall, it’s been a pretty good month for video games, but it’s also been pretty bad with some games like Chicken Shoot, Vampire Rain, and Dead Reefs. But we’ve also had some great titles like NCAA Football 2008 and All-Pro Football 2K8, along with Nascar 08, all annual sports titles. We’ve also received games like Ninja Gaiden Sigma, which prove that an older game can come back on a newer console and still kick some butt…..Ninja style! Along with this we rocked out with Guitar Hero Encore:Rocks the 80s, which brought a whole new decade to rock out with. But there was one title that stood above the others, and its name is Mario Strikers Charged……for the Wii. Yes, in this game that just came out today you can play as your favorite Nintendo characters in order to score a goal, and thanks to some great reviews and some good Wi-Fi capabilities, it is Game of the Month.

Avatar The Last Airbender:The Burning Earth- The popular Nickelodeon show Avatar is getting another video game, this time titled “The Burning Earth”. It will follow the show’s storyline of the three main heroes who are trying to save their world from the firebenders. The game looks like it will be throwing several different enemies at you, and if Jang is to fall in
battle, you will immediately switch to Kataria for a second player, although it isn’t known if their are reviving powers to bring old Jenga back to life. Theg mae shows off a very cool cel-shaded art style (think Sly Cooper), and it looks to be a real fan (Black Knight) pleaser, so make sure to check this one out on the 360, Wii, DS, and GBA when it comes out October 16, 2007. Oh yea, it’s also coming to the PS2.Â
Super Smash Bros. Brawl- One of the major reasons I picked the Wii was the games, and this one was one of of those games. After waiting for 6 years, December 3rd, 2007 just seems too long to wait for this sure-to-be-great title. This time most of the boys are back in town, although some of
the new characters from Melee aren’t confirmed, while most of the original characters are, but have no fear, Underdog is here!…….oh wait……..There are new characters, inc. Pit, Metaknight, Zero Suit Samus, Wario, and Solid Snake, the first ever non-Nintendo character in the series. I wouldn’t be surprised, however, if they threw in a secret character like Sonic in the works with the
new olympic game coming out soon. There will be all kinds of new environments and items, but there will also be Super Smash Attacks, which could be anything from being used in an item or in a Mortal
Kombat style finishing move, but all I know is, it looks awesome. If you haven’t tryed out this series, I strongly recommend the first two, with the second on the gamecube. I’ll make sure I see this one on December 3rd.
The Heroes Videogame- I honestly don’t know much about this game, but it has just been announced by Ubisoft, the makers of Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell, so they should be able to make a game that justly matches the show. That’s pretty much all I know, but stay tuned to find out more before it comes out on the PS3 and 360, so Black Knight you better believe I’m going to play this and Ratchet and Clank on your PS3, hey, I’ll buy it for you! In exchange, you can come and play Brawl or whatever as long as I can try this game out.

This week was another pretty good week in video games. We got our hands on the Nascar 08, another annual sports series, along with an expansion to City of Heroes, several new downloadable games from Kirby to Contra, and even a pretty good RTS. But, as always, there was that one game that stood above the rest. And although Gamspot gave it a lower score than the RTS, I still think this game rocks. It’s name is Guitar Hero Encore:Rocks the 80s! Although this game is a little steep at $50 just for 50 new songs as an expansion pack, those 50 songs are great and are part of what propel this game to Game of the Week.

Recently the site IGN did an interview with Claire and Mr. Bennet, or at least the people who play them. They were asking about the new season and its details. They said that they would be returning into the series, thus proving any theories of an entirely new cast or completely covering Hiro in the future false. They said that Mr. Bennet and Claire have tried to return to their normal lives, and trying to be normal, except their old and some new secrets are returning to haunt them and keep them from that. Other than that, they didn’t talk to any of the other co-stars, but I’m sure I will find out more before Season 2 airs September 24 this year at its original time.

One of my favorite game series is the Destroy All Humans franchise, which started back in June 2005, telling the story of Crypto, an alien on a mission to recover D.NA. from humans to save his race…..”Yes, it’s just a long story…….”. Then, after realizing America wasn’t the only place on Earth, he came back in 2006 with Destroy All Humans…….2! in which Crypto ravaged through Russia, Japan, Europe, and even the moon in order to take out the rest of the humans. Now Crypto is back in two new completely different adventures, Big Willy Unleashed (Wii, PS2, PSP) and Path of the Furon (360, PS3). In Big Willy Unleashed, Crypto and ol’ Poxy are running several fast food restaurants, and along with it, a Big Willy Mech (See picture). Something tells me I’m going to hear a lot of fast food jokes from Crypto. The other adventure, taking place right after Big Willy Unleashed, Path of the Furon, will have Crypto running a casino in Las
Vegas, where he will lose his enjoyment in killing humans, and seek the path of enlightenment from an older, wiser brother. Both of the versions wil be featuring Crypto’s saucer, and in B.W.U., a Big Willy mech. The game will be following the time format the previous two have followed, #1-50s, #2-60s, #3-70s, and along with them, tons of jokes about them. I am definitely looking forward to both of these games, the humor in them, the G.T.A. gameplay, and the humor. Make sure you check both of these out when they come out. Big Willy Unleashed-TBA 2007, Path of the Furon-Q1 2008. For more info on both of these games, click here for B.W.U., and here for P.T.F..

The Simpsons Movie-Although I have never been a fan of some of The Simpsons humor, some of the jokes in this new movie are just plain slap-the knee hillarious (See below). Although I’ll probably wait until this one hits DVD, this movie looks to be one of the funniest of the summer.
- “Spiderpig, Spiderpig, does whatever a Spiderpig does!”
- “I’m going to save people I only remotely care about for reasons I don’t know…See ya!”
I Know Who Killed Me-This movie will have Lindsay Lohan escaping from a maniac killer, and then thinks that her twin sister or something like that is still hostage. I don’t know, all I know is confusing movie make my head hurt and I’ll just stick to the old Austin Powers movies for my enjoyment. Yea Baby Yea!
No Reservations-This romantic comedy will have Catherine-Zeta Jones getting together with some other dude in a kitchen environment, but who cares when we have random Austin Powers quotes:
- Everyone, I’d like you to meet my Number Two man, “Number Two”.
- Don’t look at me like I’m Frankenstein, give your father a hug!
- Meet one of my assistants, Random Task. (Reference to Oddjob, a Bond Villain…..Think about it.)
- This is Fran, who created the militant wing of the Salvation army.
- We will hold the world ransom for-One Million dollars! (Dr. Evil, One Million dollars isn’t that much money anymore.) Okay…..One billion, kajillion, fe-fy-fo-fillion,……

(9.5/10.00) As mentioned below, one of my favorite games is 007:Nightfire. This completely new storyine has 007 (Pierce Brosnan) on a mission to stop Drake from blowing up the world or something. Although the missions are amazingly fun, where this game shines to me is it’s multiplayer. Up to four people can battle it out in several different maps in several different game modes as several different characters, from Oddjob to Bond Spacesuit. Another thing I loved were the weapons. Including the Golden Gun, Scorpion (heatseeker missile), Sentinel (regular missile), Tactical Sniper, and more, this game could keep any Bond enthusiast entertained for days. The only thing that could get annoying would be the shortness of the game and sometimes I just wanted different things from the multiplayer. Overall, this is a great game for any gamer looking or a great, replayable game.

Just to make everything clear, this is a revised edition of that with new games. Just making sure.
- Ratchet and Clank:Up Your Arsenal-The levels are genius, the bosses are bad, the gameplay is fun, there are certain ways to approach a boss, and more!
- Super Smash Bros. Series-The reason I put series is because of Brawl coming out in December, but the fighting here is just insane and totally fun!
- Guitar Hero 2-With great songs-I love playing Surrender!, great approachable gameplay, and more!
- Destroy All Humans Series-With great gameplay, fun weapons, and absolutely hillarious dialogue, this is a great game.
- Burnout Revenge-With truly detailed crashes and cars, awesome gameplay, and just being fun, it earns its spot.
- Psychonauts-The gamplay is fun, it’s one of the funniest games, and the old man likes bacon, there’s not much more to say here. Â
- Halo 2 (Multiplayer)-The game is great to have at parties, I love customizing my armor (White, Blue and Yellow Spartans rule!), and I rock with the plasma sword!
- The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess-This game feels so cinematic, it’s like watching a summer blockbuster, and it’s about 20 times as long as one!
- Rayman Raving Rabbids-Also another hillarious game, this game combines great minigames with great, responsive Wii motion-sensing controls.
- 007:Nightfire-My favorite Bond game, with all the neat gadgets and multi-approachable levels, also with an awesome multiplayer.

Well, it looks like a Rapper has been killed in a tragic car boming, and another rival raper has been suspected of the crime. Looks like Monk’s on the case! While Monk’s at home trying to get his house clock perfectly sycnhronized, A rapper named Murderous and his boys come into Monk’s home. They report the news that Extra-Large, a fellow rapper, was killed in a car bombing, and they think it was Murderous, mainly due to the mountain of evidence, including a song telling Murderous wrote about how he would kill Extra Large. Monk zones out in fear and accepts the case. They go to the crime scene, where they find Murderous’ special imported watch used in the car bomb. Monk starts to lose hope. They visit Extra Large’s record manager, who seems somwhat suspicious since he says he saw Murderous next to Extra Large’s limousine the night before. Monk goes on, and tries to get out of his contract with Murderous due to the mountain of evidence, but once again zones out and becomes part of his security. Later on at the benefit party for X-Large, Monk realizes that there’s just too much coincidence and solves the case.
Here’s What Happened: X-Large’s record manager was consumed with greed, he wanted all of that money to himself, so, he used X-Large’s and Murderous’ rivalry to his advantage and sneaked into the garage and planted the bomb using Murderous’ watch. And later, the bomb went kaboom. What proved the manager guilty? When Murderous first visited Monk, he had forgotten to set time forward for Daylight Savings, thus setting the manager’s whole plan askew.

You See kids, I am not a big fan of the Harry Potter series, I honestly just woke up this morning wanting to know how it ended. I’ve watched three out of five of the movies, so I’m somewhat familiar with the books. I personally think that ol’ J.K. could have made the books more appealing by gettin’ rid of the wands. It just seems a little lame. I would personally just go all force lightning style. In the fight between Dumbledore and Voldemort in #5, it just seems a little off that the “master of evil” is using a wand! But that’s just me. Anyway, here’s how the book ends.
The book comes in showing Harry and Ron at Hermoine’s funeral, you see, she was bitten by a radioactive spider, but it didn’t work out like Spiderman. Then all of the teachers take a cruise, where they are devoured by the Loch Ness Monster. Voldemort is smart enough to learn force lightning comes in and then wipes out all the children and younglings like Anakin did in Episode 3 “Even the younglings?!!?!”. The only survivor was Dobbie and Hagrid, who went on to be Broadway stars. Also Voldemort only escaped on foot about 1 mile outside of the school in the forest where he tripped on a rock got amnesia. THE END.

Well, this week sure has been an improvement over last week. We received several new games, some downloadable games, and some games that we’ve been waiting for for a while. We got the great game Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 on the PC, Parappa the Rapper on the PSP, but what a video game year be without Football games? Every year, we usually get three different football games, and we received two of them this week. I’ll usually choose my sword over my pigskin, but in the past I have tryed out and considered buying a football game. But as we all know, to be good in footbal, you have to be experienced in football, and the 2K Series just isn’t as trained as NCAA, So this week’s Game of the Week is NCAA Football 08.

Assassin’s Creed-One of the most hyped games at both last year’s and
this years E3 was Assassin’s Creed. Fortunately, we received a demo at this past year’s E3, and it showed it off like a model on the runway. You play as Altair, a trained Assassin doing various tasks in the year 1191 during the Crusades. The storyline looks like something out of a deep, deep movie, and the main character looks engaging. This game kinda reminds me of Splinter Cell with its deep gameplay. You’ll be manuevering you
r way through huge, interactive crowds, trying to get to your goalpoint, and, if need be, cause some distractions like, say, pushing a guard off a building to dstract the guards. There are several ways to get through a crowd, although most of the time you’ll probably be wanting to make the least noise and ruckus. Look forward to this ne when it comes out on the PS3, 360, and PC this November.
Dragon Blade:Wrath of Fire-I remember I previewed this game a couple of weeks ago, just basically as a first glimpse and I just got to look at some concept art, but now we have more, much more! In this game you’ll play as a hero on a quest to take down a king who has taken over your land, and along the way you will gain 6 different dragon powers-wings, one/two-arm swinging, and more including your basic fire sword. Swinging the Wiimote to swing your sword, and the with hte two-arm thing actually
using your respective hands to clap, or slam your enemies. The game has a very unique art style , kinda like older Asian. The boss battles have proven to be long and epic, something I am definitely looking forward to. This game really kinda reminds me of something like Heavenly Sword meets Lair. Overall, all Wiiowners should at least check out this game when it comes out later this year.Â
Rayman Raving Rabbids 2-The bunnies are coming! The bunnies are coming! Rayman Raving Rabbids 1 was one of the most fun and funny games I’ve ever played, and I am definitely looking forward to this next one. This time the bunnies are trying to take over the world, and thus they’re trying to be accepted by us humans by dressing up like pop culture icons like Harry Potter, Jack Sparrow, and more. This time Ubisoft wanted to put more emphasis on multiplayer, so they put in 60 new minigames, and for multiplayer, a Bunny customization mode. Yea. The fun never stops. There will be all kinds of new minigames, including football, swimming, a Rock Band knockoff, and more. I’ll make sure I pick this one up when it comes out on the Wii and DS on November 15, 2007. This game is so special that it deserves a picture avalanche!
