(9.00/10.00)Â Another great game for the Wii! In the fourth installment of the Rayman series, you must help Rayman save the bay globoxes from the maniacal, undescribable Rabbids. You will play through 15 arenas, each having 4 minigames and a boss game. But good news for me is that you only have to beat 3, you can beat all 4 for extra prizes and the like. There are about 70 minigames that you’ll run across, and although I had a problem with repetitivity on the PS2 version, I wasn’t as much with the Wii version because I was having too much fun! The controls are interesting and intuitive, and the game responds quite well. I first thought about not getting this game because I thought it would be too similar to Warioware, but I was pretty wrong! The rabbids are also some of the funniest characters I’ve ever seen! Overall, if you’re looking for a fun game that has great use of the motion-sensing Wiimote, this is your game!

(4 out of 5) This is my first Comics post. In this category I will be talking about the wide world of Comics that I have just entered into. This issue has the Fantastic Four, which has replaced Sue and Reed with Storm and the Black Panther, coming to retrieve the dead body of Gravity, a young superhero who died trying to save his friends. They find the body, but it turns out he’s alive, and is trying to save Epoch from the clutches of Galactus and his two heralds. The Fantastic Four battle with the Surfer and the other Herald. The Black Panther steals the Surfer’s cosmic power, and then has a throwdown with the Surfer. Gravity then feeds Galactus in exchange to let Epoch go. He does, and they are returned home. This comic has some great art in it, and some great fights. Good issue.

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank my father, all of the good fathers out there, and especially our Heavenly Father for all of the great work they do each and every day. I hope this is a fun and memorable (in a good way) to all of the fathers out there. Happy Father’s Day!

Fantastic Four-(Grade: A-) This one was definitely my favorite of the two. Basically, five people on a spaceship get bombarded with Gamma rays and thus, get superpowers. Dr. Doom was very cool in this movie, and so were the other four characters. Despite what other critics say, this one was the best.

Fantastic Four:Rise of the Silver Surfer-(Grade:B) At first I was a little hard on this one, and it was probably because I wasn’t really anticipating it or paying as much attention as with Spiderman 3. This movie was pretty good. Through the movie they are tracking down the Silver Surfer and trying to stop him, Galactus, and Dr. Doom. The action seqeunces are very good, and so are the special effects. Overall this is a pretty decent superhero movie.

It seems every summer we get some great movies, and along with those we get some mediocre games that could be great! Why does this happen? I think it’s due to time. When a gullible developer makes a movie game, they only have a certain time limit to squeeze in material so they can release it on-time with the movie. This has happened with Spider-man, Pirates, Fantastic Four, and more! Let’s hope the same thing doesn’t happen with Transformers. Also, another proof it’s due to time is because of other great movie games-Movie games like the Godfather and more were great, mainly because designers had time! With games like Dirty Harry and others coming out after their movies, let’s hope they can follow the mafia boss himself.

Well, what is there to say about this week. The new Fantastic Four gaem came out, which, according to Eurogamer and wham Gaming, has fallen to the curse of so many movie games. (See my next post.) We also received the dissapointing Monster Madness:Battle for Suburbia, Scarface for the Wii, and more. We were also dissapointed by Tenchu Z which had repetitive missions and boring graphics. But I’ve decided to give it to Big Brain Academy for the Wii. This game uses your Miis, which is a rare quality these days in Wii games. That and I haven’t had a Wii game of the month in a long time.

(Grade:B+) This movie was pretty good. It reminded me a lot of an educational movie that’s trying to save the environment. Not that that’s a bad thing. I just wish they would have just came out and said it. Other than that, this movie is pretty funny, mostly because of Robin Williams. I recommend this to anyone who wants to have a good laugh.

Fifa Soccer 08-Fifa is heading to the Wii! And it looks like the most interesting Soccer game I’ve ever seen. Instead of shooting for super-realistic character models, Fifa 08 will allow users to play as they’re Miis, which means I’ll be able to score that game-winning goal…again. Seriously, I once played Soccer. I tripped a lot of people. I know I’ll be looking forward to this one later this year.

Bioshock-This game has had me glued to the computer and TV for the past two years. (I knew I would find an excuse for it.) I think this game was first introduced back in 2005, and it should finally be coming out for the 360 and PC later this year. You’ll be playing as some guy trying to do something who has to take down these big huge monster creatures, but who cares, you get powerups! Including lightning, fire, and more!

Blacksite:Area 51-Back in 2004/2005, a game called Area 51 came out and it pretty much went under the radar. It wa a good game, it just didn’t get as much publicity as say Halo 3. Now they’re coming out with the sequel, Blacksite:Area 51. You can be sure to have plenty of shooting, diverse weapons, cool-looking aliens, and more when it comes out for the 360, PS3, and PC.

This is a really neat thing that proves that the 360 has better graphics than the PS3. It shows the almost-exact (good enough) pictures of the same game on each console. All you have to do is put your mouse over Xbox 360 on each picture to see the PS3 version, and go back and forth. I found the PS3 way too bright. See what you think. Click here to see for yourself.

This time, the Mythbusters are taking on some of Hollywood’s ways of saving your buddies from grenades-jumping onto it, putting it in water, and putting it in a refridgerator. The build team is also testing self hypnosis from self-help CDs. And finally, they’ll see if your stomach can explode from diet coke and mentos.
First off, Jamie and Adam make a gel dummy for the stunt hero, and several wooden “people” to compare the grenade damage. When they get down to the bomb range, they set off a grenade to see how bad it is without a self-sacrificer. They find several lethal hits on the wooden-guys. They then detonate the grenade under the dummy. It completely devastates the dummy, but it considerably saves the other guys. They then try putting the grenade in water. One wood-guy is killed, but Jamie calls this one true because it really does make sense, that and the one dummy was the only one killed. They then break the wall I have akways wanted them to break by bringing in a myth from Monk. Could you save your buddies by putting the grenade in the fridge? In the clip, a grenade is thrown into Natalie’s house, and Monk runs into the next room. While Lieutenant and Natalie fall back for safety, Monk goes in and throws the grenade into the fridge, then runs into the room to the left of the fridge. The explosion goes off, with noone injured. They try this out on the field, and it takes out the guy in front and beihind the fridge completely. So in Monk’s case it’s still true, but this isn’t really that handy on a battlefield.
The build team then put self-help CDs to the test. Grant’s gonna try to cure his sea-sickness, Adam’s gonna try to cure his fear of bees, and Kari’ gonna try to change her eye color. They set up base tests before using the CDs then they try it with the CDs. They find that Grant is still not sea-worthy, Adam is still petrified of bees, and Kari’s eyes are still brown.
The Build team also put the myth to the test that a guy swallowed a couple of mentos, then chugged a Diet Coke, and the result was disastrous. They empty out a pig stomach, then empty out a bottle of Diet Coke into a stomach, followed by several Mentos. Nothing. After experimenting some more, the only time they could get that stomach to explode was by using decompressed air. It’s just like the Pop Rocks and Soda Myth. So, where does that leave us?
- Jumping on a Grenade-CONFIRMED-You can cons. save your buddies by sacrificing yourself.
- Grenade in a Bucket of Water-CONFIRMED-Although it did kill one guy, this still did a lot less damge than without the water.
- Grenade in a Fridge-BUSTED-Using this on a battlefield will some awful damage, but the way they did it in Monk is true.
- Self-Hypnosis CDs-BUSTED-They tused the CDs, nothing happened. Enough said.
- Diet Coke and Mentos Stomach Rupture-BUSTED-Just like Pop Rocks and Soda, it just doesn’t do enough.

When searching for a Wii game, I am very picky with my titles. I will read reviews in advance of games and then make my decision on 1. The gameplay. 2. The box. and 3. The reviews. So ar I have picked out 3 games-The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess, Warioware:Smooth Moves, Rayman Raving Rabbids- and I think they are the best the Wii has to offer.
