I would personally like to apologize for the video game industry’s lack of progress, I mean, I really wanted to give it to Spiderman 3, but with a score of 6.6/10.00 for the 360 on Gamespot, it didn’t cut it. This week, however, was a little better. With the dissapointment of Heatseeker heading to the PSP certain for doom, and “Burger Island” coming out for the PC, there was a game that came out victorius over the others, and it’s name is “Command and Conquer 3:Tiberium Wars”. This game was a smash hit for the PC, and it transferred very well to the 360. With truly next-gen graphics, funny live action cutscenes, and more, this game not only is a good Game of the Week, it makes up for last week.

My Name is Earl is a great tv show that comes on the “Comedy Night Done Right” on NBC. It tells the story of Earl Hickey, an ex-con who, after an unfortunate accident, decides to get his life right. So he makes a list of all the bad things he’s done, and, in most episodes, is going one by one fixing them in a variety of ways. This show is extremely funny, with Earl’s…..intelligence-challenged brother following him along the way. This is a great example for people today, and I strongly recommend it, besides a few moments of bad lanquage and some sexual content.

Not that Molly’s (the new hero) power wasn’t cool, I mean she can figure out where people are by thinking of them, but I was expecting something cooler, especially when that guy said she was the only one that can stop Sylar, I thought of it in a physical sense, like a beat down, using one of these powers:
- Just complete awesomeness.
- Levitation
- Instant Matter CreationÂ
- Instant Matter De-CreationÂ
- Super StrengthÂ
- Â Flight
- HeatVision!
- ElectricityÂ
- Mind Reading
- Bowel Irradiation

The Simpsons
The simpsons are back in this long-awaited sequel for the 360, Wii, PS3, PS2, PSP, and DS to commemorate their 400th episode. This game will have 16 levels, each taking the form of one of the series’ many episodes. The player will take control of two characters, or two players can jump in for split screen. In the game, the family realizes that they are trapped in the video game world, and while they are there, they might as well have superpowers-Bartman, Homerball, etc. And I think this will play uniquely into the gameplay.
Â
Spore
This game wowed us back at E3 in 2006, and we hoped for an earlier release date than 2008. But I think it will be worth it when this Sims-like game hits the market. This game had some great creation gameplay, with details a plenty. You can create your own a creature, then send it out into the world where it can interact with other pokemon, I mean monsters. Look forward to this one when it comes out in early 2008.

CRASH of the Titans
Crash Bandicoot is back in a new adventure. He will be coming out in October hopefully with his new game, “Crash of the Titans” for the 360, Wii, and PS2. This time there is a new system where the player is able to “latch on” to the enemies and use their powers. Overall, this looks like a very interesting game and I look forward to playing this game, especially on the Wii. Spin Attack!

Usually I just talk about video games in this category, but I felt like I needed to address this issue. Some of you may notice that today’s music has a lot of profanity, sexual content, and sometimes both. I am a big fan of Aretha Franklin, The Blues Brothers, Rascall Flatts, and more, and I honestly hate a good 3/4 of today’s music. But honestly, besides cruisin’ with your buddies, have you ever really listened to the singer? “Musicians” like Bkon (It was either that or Akon, I can’t remember), Snoop Dog, etc. can’t sing!!! And, last time I checked, that’s a prerequisite in music, isn’t it? I think so. I hardly ever really enjoy the songs on the newer stations, with the exception of The Fray, Snow Patrol, etc. Don’t get me wrong, The Fray, Snow Patrol, hey, even Beyonce,  can sing, it’s just most of the others can’t.
Final Verdict-Â Music like Akon, Snoop Dog, and other rap and some pop songs should not be out due to the fact that those people can’t sing, it’s just dirty talking.

Recently I was able to play a few rounds with Fight Night Round 3, and I must say it is one of the best games to play, look at, or play. Of course the gameplay is awesome, each button representing a certain hit, and the blocking system also works well, the knockout are especially revolting due to the spit, blood, etc. coming out of the mouth. This game has a lot to choose from, you have your featherweights, heavyweights, and even your Muhammad Ali. Overall, this is a great game for the PS3, but I could see where it could get old.

This category is another one of my favorites from my old site, and it was really cool for me to share my opinion on certain video game or other topics. So enjoy.

Video Games in the past have been under fire by politicians and people pretending to be politicians for years, mainly due to their violent nature, sexual content, or in Grand Theft Auto’s case, both. And in some ways, I agree with them. I believe games like Grand Theft Auto, Blitz:The League, and others like that shouldn’t be out on the market. I know only games like Mario, Ratchet and Clank, Zelda, etc. should be out there. But you may think, “But Earl, games like G.T.A. are more fun!”. Lost Planet:Extreme Condition is a fine proof of otherwise. And did you notice, bak in 1981 when Mario was out you didn’t hear a peep out of Jimmy Carter-Yes, he was our president during 1981, I Wikipediaed it. Video Games did not come under fire until games like G.T.A. started coming out in 1996.You may also think: “But Earl, isn’t that breaking our Right to Freedom of Speech?”. Well, no, because I don’t think Thomas Jefferson intended it in that sense. You still got questions, comment, I’ll respond.
Final Verdict-Games like G.T.A. shouldn’t be out on the market, only games like Mario, Zelda, Rayman, Ratchet and Clank, etc. should be out on the market, because they are the true videogames.

I figured while I’m going to review Spiderman 3, I might as well review all 3. So, here goes.
Â
Spiderman 1-(Grade:A) This was the perfect way to start off the series, starting up a lot of conflicts that are only resolved in #3. The casting for Norman and Harry Osbourne is perfect, and so is for M.J. and Peter. The action is great, with a great storyline. The Green Goblin is a great villain, yet at some times I felt sorry for the mental struggle Norman had to face. This is, once again, a great way to start off the series.
Â
Spiderman 2-(Grade:A-) This one was like the cliffhanger of the series. Think Pirates 2. Harry is finally finding out who Spiderman is, and he discovers the lair, only to have the awesome battle postponed. Doctor Octopus is a great villain in this movie, being both evil and smart. Peter faces a moral struggle in this movie, and eventually decides to “quit being Spiderman”. He later returns to save the people he loves.

Spiderman 3-(Grade:A+) Spidey is back! This time he has found a healthy balance between Spiderman and Peter, and he’s about to propose to the woman he loves. That is, until Harry reappears seeking to kill Spiderman in order to “avenge” his father, who he thinks Spiderman killed. Along the way, he also has to face the Sandman, a good-hearted villain who is trying to save his dying daughter, and the Venom suit, who, after being wrongfully used by Peter, goes to Eddie Brock. This movie is full of action, laughs(dance number), and romance. Some say that previews make a movie look better than it actually is. Not in this case, it was better than I expected, it is the best Spiderman ever!Â

If you’ve ever seen Spiderman 1, you’ll remember the scene at the big parade or whatever, and the green Goblin comes swooping in. He then throws what appears to be a neutron bomb, which turns his once fellow employees to dust, leaving only bones….DUDE!!!!! That’s crazy power! I’m surprised the Green Goblin didn’t stop the glider, fly over there, get off, and just stop and marvel.

This week has been a let-down for video gamers. With the let down of the Spider Man 3 movie game, mainly due to it’s lifeless combat and annoying camera, also with the flop of Heatseeker, it’s hard to find a rock to lean on. And, due to the lack of a worthy candidate for game of the week, there is no game of the week this week. Have a nice day.

There’s nothing in particular in common with these games…..except they’re all the manliest games out there! These games are for any dude who likes bank heists, football, or evaporation?
Kane and Lynch:Dead Men
Kane and Lynch, two men with extremely distinctive personalities, are on a mission. What’s the mission? I think they’re gonna try to rob a bank. One’s apsychotic maniac, the other has a broken nose. Don’t ya just wanna give em’ a hug!?! Probably the most entertaining element will be the co-op, which will be treated differently due to the unique gameplay.

Madden NFL 2008
Are you ready for some football!?!?! I don’t really have to tell you about this game, you already know what to expect-New teams, new opportunities, more new stuff, and of course, a lame joke about the Titans. So, there we go. You’re welcome.

Dewy’s Adventure
This fun little manly game for the Wii will but you in control of Dewy, a drop of water that you will move around as and have free control of the temperature in order to change his state of form. Crank up the heat, he’ll change into a cloud and float along. Cool things off and he’ll chill into a block of ice. Both will eqqually be used into unique puzzles. Let’s look forward to seeing this one later this year.
