MY 100TH POST!!!

Posted in Weapons of Mass Enjoyment at 2:07 pm by earl

I know, I had already made a 100th Post, but I’ve decided to redo it, so here goes. I would like to thank everyone that has viewed my site, everyone that has left (appropriate) comments, and everyone that has supported me on this blog. I would also like to thank everyone that has linked to my site. I would like to thank Colt and James especially for introducing me to Iblog365.com, which is a great site. In celebration of this event, I would like to name off my favorite posts from each of my categories. I would also like to point out some of my favorite post series.

I really enjoy doing the posts about Heroes, because it is truly a great TV series. I also love sharing my opinion on video games, keeping my viewers up-to-date on the video game industry, even if I’m not able to buy the newest release. Overall, I just love doing this site. Now it is time to show my favorites from each category.

Game Previews- Game Previews:Ratchet and Clank Future:Tools of Destruction- I made this series so 1.I could stay on top of the ball with the video game industry and not just report on old video games and 2. Made jokes about upcoming games. This game was probably the one I was most looking forward to when making a Game Previews post, and that’s what the category’s all about.

Game Reviews- Tie-Ratchet and Clank 3 because it is my favorite game of all time, and Wii Sports because I hardly got any sleep the night before waiting to play it. I really just put in this category instantly because I love video games.

Hands-On with Earl- Hands-On with Guitar Hero II-This game was just a ton of fun for me to play, and so it rightly deserves this. SURRENDER!!!!! I put in this category so I could, once again be up-to-date and to also give a first look of a game by it’s demo.

Made in China-Made in China:Daily Use- This series just plain makes fun of www.made-in-china.com’s vaqueness in their product description, and I just found that amusing, so I started this category, and this one bes exemplified it.

Movies- Spiderman Series- I really just love movies, and I love this one because I got to review three of the greatest comic-book movies of all time at once!

Quotes- “The Office” Quotes- I really don’t post that much in this category, and I should because there are some great and funny quotes out there, and that’s what this one is for. This particuar post was my favorite because it had the greatest/funniest quotes.

Sweet Internet Games- Indestructo Tank- I really made this one just to show the best games the Internet had to offer, and this one truly is sweet.

The Tube- Monk- I made this category because I’m a couch potato, and I own every season released of this show on DVD.

The Way Earl Sees It- Video Games Are Bad?-I created this category to share my opinion with the world about various topics, and I think I really stood out  with this one.

Top Tens- Top Ten Facts About Sylar- You really don’t have to guess with this one. Almost all of these are supposed to be funny, and I loved doing this one.

Video Games General- The Wii-I made this one just to describe games outside of previews or reviews, and I had waited forever to play the Wii.

Weapons of Mass Enjoyment- Pulling Pranks on Old Man Jones- This was my most popular category on my old site, and this post had me laughing for days!

Favorite Month-April

Favorite Page-Commercial Wars!-Seriously, this was really one my 7th Grade plays Me and Colt put together.

Once again thanks to everyone that has helped me, and I’ll do this again at 200! Wooo! Hiyata!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Helllllllllllllllooooooooo Newwwwwwwww Yorrrrrrrkkkkk!

World Trade Center

 Nicolas Cage's Character

(Grade:B) I actually watched this movie last week, I just forgot to review, that is until now. This movie follows the story of two men that bravely volunteered to go into the damaged World Trade Center only minutes after the attack to rescue others from danger. Nicolas Cage does a great job in this movie, along with his co-star. Although I wished they hadn’t jumped into the tragedy as quickly as they did, I think they did a superb job telling their backstories. Almost all of the movie is of them struggling to survive, and it is emotionally gripping. I recommend this to anyone who would like to learn more about this day of suffering.

Oh Boy.

The TV Guide Channel was recently previewing the season finale of Heroes, where they showed an exclusive clip from the episode. It showed Matt, Bennet and Suresh surrounding Molly’s bed in Suresh’s lab, and Matt asking her-”Who did you see? Was it a bad man, like the boogeyman (Sylar)?”. To which Molly responded-”No, this one’s worse, he could see me!”. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Boy. Or as Andy from The Office would say, “Ooh Dogey!”.

Heroes Marathon

Posted in The Tube at 9:45 am by earl

On Saturday, May 19, 2007, a super-long marathon of Heroes will air on the Sci-Fi Channel-244 (Dish Network), showing all 22 episodes leading up to the season finale. They will start at 8:00 A.M. with, for some reason, “Homecoming”, which was the 7-10 episode into the series. They will then play through to the last-aired episode, “Landslide”, then go back through from the beginning until the episode before “Homecoming”. This is a great opportunity for anyone who hasn’t jumped onto the Heroes train to find out about this great series. Click here to see a full episode list for your aid.

Game Previews-Splinter Cell:Conviction, Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare, and Halo 3

Posted in Game Previews at 5:45 pm by earl

These games are so manly, they would make Chuck Norris quiver in fear!

Splinter Cell:Conviction

I haven’t really been a die-hard fan of the Splinter Cell series in the past few years, but I have played Pandora, and Double agent, which is enough for me to e an expert-You sneak around, you kill stuff. This time our good ol’ buddy Sam’s up to find a mole in his organization and of course, protect the ones he loves. Make sure you check this one out sometime this year.

Call of Duty 4

Call of Duty’s back on the next generation consoles, and of course, the PC, this time, fighting war that hasn’t happened…..yet. This one takes place in a more modern setting, leaving behind the carcass of a once-non-used game concept, World War II. This game has been called by Game Informer as “The most intense FPS we’ve ever played!”. Make sure you play this one when it comes out in TBA, whatever that means.

Halo 3

Well, this was another series I hadn’t really jumped into, that is until recently when I got to play it with some friends. (Let’s just say, I dominate with the plasma sword! I know it’s energy sword, but my version’s cooler!) This time Halo’s back with a great new storyline! But who am I kidding, noone plays Halo for the campaign, it’s like playing G.T.A. for the character development, come on, you know you just wanna blow stuff up. This new game will have great new weapons-SPARTAN LASER!!!, and new vehicles, also a new “bubble shield”. It will also include a video feature where you can record your finest moments. This game will be awesome, and I highly look forward to playing it.

Virtual Console Spotlight-Old School Obliterators

Posted in Video Games at 4:43 pm by earl

Please share with me your thoughts on this post series, tell me what you think about it.

Super Mario Bros.-Of course, Mario defined old-school back in his day, back when he was jumpin’ on goombas, throwing koopas, and we didn’t have to worry about Luigi feeling all left out. Do yourself a favor and download this game for your virtual console.

F-Zero -Who could forget how Captain Falcon rocketed onto the SNES in whatever year that was. This game is a perfect addition to the Virtual Console, now do yourself a favor and add it to it.

Punch Out! Featuring Mr. Dream-This game was also a great one back in it’s day, and it will make you feel so good inside if you get it for your Virtual Console. So do yourself a favor-You know what, stop doing yourself favors, go on outside and enjoy the world that is out there, come on, if you don’t, I’ll send Mr. Dream after you.

Heroes-Final Five Episodes-”Landslide”

Posted in The Tube at 4:24 pm by earl

 Ouch!

This episode was awesome! It starts out showing Hiro and Ando, back from their failed attempt at killing Sylar, going to a sword repair shop, where along the way they meet Nathan and tell him of the future. They then go inside to the shop, where Hiro once again meets up with his father, who teaches him in the ways of the samurai to defeat Sylar. But when he comes out, he finds Ando gone to kill Sylar himself. Peter and Claire, meeting with Bennet and gang, after an overload scare, develop a plan to send Ted, Peter, and Claire to Nebraska, in order to stop the explosion there if it does happen. But soon Ted is arrested by the F.B.I., and later in the episode, killed by Sylar for his power. Peter and Claire then stumble upon the accident scene, where they fear the worst. It then showed Sylar on the ledge of a building showing off his new nuke-powers. This episode revealed the true intent of kidnapping Micah, to rig the election in favor of Nathan, who then won by a “Landslide”. Linderman also healed Nathan’s Wife and allowed heer to walk again. Meanwhile, Matt and bennet were storming Linderman’s building, and they came across the tracking system they’ve been hunting down, Molly, who was introduced last episode. Bennet and Matt had a gunfight with Thompson, Bennet’s old boss, who, received one of the funniest Heroes lines ever when trying to kill Matt. Thompson- “What am I thinking now, Parkman?” Bennet- ”Your last thought!” (2 shots). They then went in to take out the tracking system, which was, to their surprise, a little girl-Molly. Mohinder then pointed a gun to Bennet’s head, leading to the end of the episode. Niki/Jessica and D.L. were also in the building, to find out where their son was. They came up into Linderman’s office, where Linderman offers 20 Million to Jessica to kill D.L. and walk away. She nearly takes the offer, but refuses. Linderman then shoots D.L. in the stomach, fatally wounding him, but not before he can phase throuh Linderman’s head and steal his brain. (See picture above.)

Stay tuned next week for the final episode of the season, “How to Stop and exploding Man”. But don’t worry you 4 people who read these, I will continue doing these posts when Heroes returns late this year/Early or Mid next year.

Heroes:Origins

Posted in The Tube at 7:26 pm by earl

NBC has announced that it will create a spinoff series for it’s awesome show Heroes, entitled Heroes:Origins, which will follow the story of new heroes that we have not met before and were not introduced into the original series, although from what I’ve read it will only be 6 episodes. The audience will choose one of the Heroes and vote for them American Idol style and the winner will be injected into the series. It will probably air during the break between episodes of Heroes. Awesome.

Heroes-Final Five Episodes-”The Hard Part”

Posted in The Tube at 3:43 pm by earl

 Ohh..........

Okay, my blood pressure is finally down so I’ve decided I’ll give my computer another chance and try to make the post for last week’s Heroes, so here goes.

Okay, it starts off with Hiro and Ando, just back from their future adventure, going down to Issac’s loft to ask him about some empty word bubbles in the comic from the future showing Hiro killing Sylar. They come down only to find Issac dead (o.o7%), and Sylar painting the future. The camera turns to reveal that it shows Sylar about to steal Ted’s powers. Connecting the dots in order for him to fear that he is the exploding man. After getting all dressed up out of his trenchcoat and making a phone call, he starts to leave, but before he does, he hears the heartbeats of Hiro and Ando (Stolen from Mechanic). They quickly teleport out, and then follow him to his mommy’s house, where they wait outside, preparing to strike. Sylar has a long talk with his mom, and then reveals to her his awful secret life. She gets scared, then attempts to kill him, he responds, and, in a struggle, kills her. Hiro then pauses time and comes in to kill Sylar, only for him to stop the pause and break the sword. They once again teleport out, having another opportunity closed. Later towards the end of the episode we see Sylar painting a picture of the bomb with his Mother’s blood. With Peter drawing his own pictures of the future, he draws a picture of Ted, and then when Claire reveals to him his identity, he comes up with a plan:For Claire to shoot him in the back of the head if he has his power overload. Later towards the very end they do meet up with the escapees Ted, Matt, and Bennet, when Peter’s hands start glowing, and he panics, causing the infamous “to be continued…” to appear on the screen. Niki/Jessica and D.L. went to Las Vegas to rescue their son, who tryed to make a daring escape of his own from Candace, only to fail and find out about the trickery that had taken place. While Niki/Jessica and D.L. searched they found a chilling room full of their families history, leading to the conclusion that Linderman had been tracking their whole life.

Stay tuned tomorrow for my summary of”Landslide”.

Top Ten Things To Do in Halo 2 MultiPlayer

Posted in Top Tens, Video Games at 6:56 pm by earl

Recently in my math class I was able to play Halo 2 on a projection screen with three of my other pals.

  1. (In my case) Pretend you know what you’re doing, and then brag when you come in 2nd place.
  2. Dual Wield Needler and SMG (It took me an hour to figure out how to shoot them both at once.)
  3. Drive a Banshee or Ghost
  4. Run and beg for mercy from the dude driving the Banshee or Ghost
  5. Yell “That’s Right!” when you win the gunfight with the guy next to you.
  6. Be a commentator when you’re not playing.
  7. Rocket to the Warthog
  8. Scream Wildly
  9. Pretend you’re playing another game-”Where’s Captain Quark?”
  10. Run from the Rocket Launcher.
