Wii Sports

Posted in Game Reviews at 4:49 pm by earl

I’m going to do like my fellow blogger James and review each of the sports games with their own score, mainly because I liked some a lot more than others.

Bowling-(8.5/10.00) This one was definitely one of the funnest. Usong only the Wiimote, you do a backswing holding down B on the bottom, then swing forth as fast as you can, I was pretty good at this one, scoring a 103. That’s better than I do in real life!

Tennis-(8.00/10.00) This one also had very smooth controls, simply swinging the Wiimote like a tennis racket could give you the game-winning point, although I lost my first game, mainly due to the fact the other team was a dirty cheater, but this one will be one I will be playing over and over again, coming back to kick their butts!

Baseball-(8.00/10.00) This one was a little harder when it came to swinging, me always being a tad too early or a tad too late, but I was an excellent pitcher striking out several opponents, the gameplay is very easy and simple, and it is another great part of this game.

Golf-(7.50/10.00) I can’t really judge this one because I never really started it. I could never hit the ball! But once I get the hang of it, if I have a differing opinion, I will come back and make corrections.

Boxing-(9.5/10.00) This one is definitely my favorite, with ssome of the best controls and gameplay I’ll see in a Wii game. You have to use the nunchuk with this one, using each one for either one arm, and allowing you to perform such devastating blows as jabs, uppercuts, and face punchs. You can also block your face by bringing the controllers up to your face/body to protect the corresponding areas. I completely ninjaed the guy I was fighting, who had 72 more skill points than I had. This is why I bought the Wii!!!!!

Yes I do!

I HAVE A WII!!!!!

I was recently able to get a Wii, and along with it I bought Warioware. So I’ll be reviewing the console, Wii Sports, and Warioware as soon as I am capable to do so. So please be patient and I will get the next-gen-ness to you as soon as I can.

Top Ten Ways Heroes Could End

Posted in The Tube, Top Tens at 9:10 pm by earl

  1. Sylar and Peter could have a non-5 second showdown, and something really cool could happen.
  2. Sylar could take the powers of Ted and Candace, then have a power overload.
  3. Peter’s vision could come true and they all blow up.
  4. They could put Peter, Sylar, and Ted in a box  in a box and ship them over to Africa.
  5. My flatulence joke that I put in could come true. (You have to see Peter’s vision to get the joke.)
  6. Hiro could keep going back to the past over and over until he fixes it.
  7. They could all live happily ever after!
  8. Ted could just nuke Peter and Sylar.
  9. The vision could come true, then in some weird way Claire could come back to life and Linderman could heal the rest.
  10. Monk could come in and save the day.

Game of the Week:April 22-28

Posted in Video Games at 8:59 pm by earl

I would personally like to apologize for naming Bust-A-Move Bash! as Game of the Week last week, because, quite frankly it stinks. But I decided to give to F.E.A.R. for the PS3, mainly due to the great enemy A.I., decent graphics, insane firefights, and of course who could forget those “OH GEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Gun firing) THAT’S RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!! I think I just peed myself.” moments. I would like to dedicate this post in memory of the human shield. Oh, I sure will miss human shield.

Game Previews:Warioware:Smooth Moves, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess

Posted in Game Previews at 4:30 pm by earl

These 3 games are the ones I am most likely considering buying. And yes Silverwing, I can preview games that have been out for a while, not only can previews refer to future games, but it can refer to pre-played games.

Warioware:Smooth Moves

I am a devout believer that one of the Wii’s greatest purposes was Warioware. What with the twisting, and the turning, and the glohyneman! This game will have you looking like a fool or you’re money back! It’s especially recommended for multiplayer, because as we all know, looking like a fool with your friends is a lot better than looking like a fool on your own.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

This is my second favorite game series, with (take a wild guess) as my #1. You get to duke it out with your favorite nintendo characters, this time with the newcomers:Solid Snake, Zero Suit Samus, Pit, Metaknight, and Wario. Of course there will also be the returning characters: Mario, Zelda, Samus, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Fox, and probably more. Overall, with new stages, probably new modes, new characters, new items, and more, this will be a must-have title for any Wii owner.

The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess

Possibly the most awaited launch title of all time, Duke Nukem Forever stole most delayed, Twilight Princess has finally arrived on the Wii, and it has been greeted warmly. You play as Link, trying to eliminate the evil zone called the Twilight Realm or something like that. It got a 10 out of 10 in Game Informer, and it received a 5 out of 5 on X-Play, so this one definitely sounds good.

Virtual Console Spotlight:Best Games from the N64

Posted in Video Games at 3:29 pm by earl

Before I begin, I would like to explain. The Wii hasone of the greatest innovations ever in a console-The virtual Console. With this, you can go to your local game store, buy a Wii Points Card, and spend it as you please in the Wii Shop on the Wii by buying old-school classics. I would like to do the Internet world a favor by pointing out the best this little wonder has. Please share your thoughts and opinions.

Super Mario 64-Probably the best game for the N64, this little platformer made the carpal-tunnels syndrome we got from playing this so much worth it. It’s fun, it’s crazy, it’s Super Mario 64.

The Legend of Zelda:Ocarina of Time-One of the other greats of the N64 was Ocarina, a great representation of how wonderful Zelda is, and it’s the game Nintendo is still rubbing in Sony’s face.

Mario Kart 64-Another Mario game, this one ran over the competition when it first came out, and it’s still leaving skidmarks on us today thanks to the Virtual console. All three of these are great for anyone who enjoys fun.

Heroes:Final 5 Episodes:”.07%”

Posted in The Tube at 11:08 am by earl

In Memoriam of Issac Mendez

This was a pretty good episode. It starts off showing Mr. Bennet in a confinement room, sending Matt thoughts to help them both out. Matt eventually escapes, frees Ted, and comes back to get Mr. Bennet, all thanks to their telekinetic teamwork. There’s a lesson for you kids: When working with others, always use telekinesis. They then plan to go to New York to take out the tracking system, then the big boss, Linderman. Now back to Sylar, Peter, and Suresh. As we already know, Peter walks in on Sylar about to kill Suresh, Peter is forced to the wall, where he mind-pushes Sylar across the room, and frees Suresh in the process. Sylar wakes up, and then mind scatters several pieces of glass, temp. killing Peter. Suresh heroically knocks out Sylar, and then delivers the sad news to Ms. Petrelli. Claire, luckily being there, pulls out the glass, bringing Peter back to life. And what would a Heroes episode be without Nathan making some lame excuse about why he can’t stay with Claire. Linderman talks with Nathan telling him his secret plan that is wanting the bomb to go off, which would, in his mind, bring society back together under Nathan’s hand. Linderman also reveals his healing power. Hiro also meets his future self in the post-apoctalyptic future. After Sylar wakes up, he finds a piece of paper leading him to go and kill Issac, thus fulfilling his prophecy, but before he could die he revealed he had painted and given away a painting telling how to stop and kill Sylar. Stay tuned for next week’s episode recap, “String Theory”.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

Posted in Game Reviews at 4:44 pm by earl

(8.25/10.00) This is by-far the best superhero game I’ve played to date. It seems that almost every Marvel character has been thrown in, and with them, some very detailed and non-generic attacks. You can mix and match your…..Cool Crew, Fantastic 4, Ultimate Gathering, whatever you want to call it, each having their own strengths and weaknesses. There are a few complaints though. Although the graphics in the opening sequence are PS3 worthy, the in-game graphics are PS1 unworthy. Also at times, it’s hard to fugure what you need to do, leaving you to walk aroung aimlessly. Overall, this is a good game that any nerd I mean Marvel fan will drool over, despite a few flaws.

Earth Day 2007!

Posted in Weapons of Mass Enjoyment at 1:22 pm by earl

Happy Earth Day Everybody! This is one of those lesser known holidays that only a few group of people-Oprah, Leonardo Decaprio really really celebrate, and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist that’s tryng to figure out how to make cars run on poo to figure that out. OK, jokes aside, we really need to wake up, because we only have one Earth, I’m not saying to go and switch all of your lightbulbs, but, just start with the little things.

Koolest Google Picture EVER!

Posted in Weapons of Mass Enjoyment at 1:10 pm by earl

I guess this is in honor of Earth Day.
