Game of the Month:March 2007

Posted in Video Games at 8:57 pm by earl

This month was truly a great month for video games. You had the release of NBA Street Homecourt, the long-awaited Motorstorm, and you also had the release of great games like Burnout Dominator, G.R.A.W. 2, and Earth Defense Force 2017. But since this was such a colossal month , I thought I would break it down into the top 5.

5. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007-This got the #5 slot because of its great Wii gameplay, its smooth and fun controls, and of course, Tiger Woods.

4. The Eler Scrolls 4:Oblivion for the PS3-This slightly worse graphical on the PS3 comapred to the 360 version R.P.G. still makes a great impression.

3. NBA Street Homecourt-this great basketball game brings the fun back old-school.

2. Motorstorm-This edge-of-your-seat racer still makes us wet ourselves on that first jump! (Or is that just me?)

1. Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter 2-This team futuristic shooter brings us all the fun of shootin’ stuff! Kinda’ reminds me of Back to the Future, that is, the future stuff…..fire up the time machine Doc!

Game of the Week:March 25-31 2007

This was an old post series I had just started back on my old site, and I really enjoyed doing it, so…..With the new Elder Scrolls 4:Oblivion expansion coming out this past week, the few Oblivion nerds reading this would want me to give it to Shivering Isles, but…..I deided to give it to Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell:Double Agent for the PS3. I have played the Ps2 version, and I’ll assume the PS3 version is just as good, except prettier. This game is also fun because you get to shoot security guards after you tell them they won’t be hurt if they tell you what you want to hear…..before they have a chance to say anything. And it’s also pretty fun to reinact Bob and Steve moments…..”I’m bored, ooooohhh, pretty light! (Alarm Sounds) Whoops.”

Bob, I'm telling you I can't stay like this forever!

Heroes

 All the heroes!

Heroes tells the story of “ordinary people receiving extraordinary powers”. I really love this show because it not only tells the story of people getting powers, it also shows those people dealing with the consequences, losses and difficulties that come with it. Below are most of the heroes, their stories, and their powers. Note:There are other Heroes, I just named a few here.  *Spoiler Alert*

  • Peter Petrelli-a man with the ability to absorb powers has gotten him into an “explosive” situation.
  • Nathan Petrelli-Peter’s brother who is determined to win his election and keep his flying power a secret.
  • Claire Bennet-a cheerleader whose power of invulnerability has turned her world upside down, along with meeting her real mother, a fire starter, and her secret father, Nathan.
  • The Haitan-a mysterious man with the ability to clear minds who has started to have thoughts of his own.
  • Claude-a once-employee of the evil organization kidnapping and experimenting on Heroes, he has “disappeared” from the plotline once again.
  • Hiro Nakimura-a time-bender on a mission to save the world.
  • Issac Mendez-a future-painter that was caught up in a deadly love triangle.
  • Sylar-a so-called hero, the villain of the show, who takes hero’s brains and uses them and steals their powers.
